Music, neuroscience and the link between sexuality and creativity
It happens unexpectedly and there’s the charm. You hear a new song. Or you listen to a known one and new nuances of it ignite something in you. The right note hits different. It does things to you! It caresses your soul. It sparks an idea. Suddenly dots are being connected around an idea. But what is the right note? Isn’t it something that’s off-key which makes your heart flutter?
As a pianist, it happens often, mostly unconsciously: Moving and tapping fingers erratically on surfaces. On the subway. Lost in thoughts over a coffee in café. Anywhere, basically. To the one sitting nearby: No, I’m not nervous! I’m air-playing. The song? May I share it? Well, it’s usually in my head. That’s enough to get those fingers dancing. It’s not necessarily a song blasting through my headphones. I mean, I wear them a lot, especially on dreamy train rides or flights during exclusive tours, often on my way to an intimate, private escort date in some beautiful major European city.
I catch myself air-playing again. I look at my fingers. Mother Nature had in for me: Long, slender fingers. For the ambitious pianist — extremely helpful, a necessary extra, a gift — just like a good ear.
As an escort? That’s quite another story, obviously. But still enough of a feature to get your cinematic fantasy going.
If you know some bits about me, you know that both escorting and art, music and creating it, to be specific, are big in my life. Touch is an essential part of both. With intention, with precision, with emotion. My body is heavily involved in both. And there’s something about this which sits on my tongue and I try to put my finger on it — in a metaphorical sense, though. It’s the connection between art, creation and sexuality, so fascinating. Actually sparked my deeper research. I am really getting into it.
Creativity, sex and the neuroscience involved, sometimes playing a connecting role between the two — intrigues me to no end. It is evidence-based, that there is a neuroscientific link between creativity and sexuality. You may read more about that in the link I’ve dropped down below.
Reader! If you and I go on a intimate rendez-vous and, you know, our meeting is ideally ignited with a classic glass of something luscious — please note that I am quite a sucker for our charming get-to-know-you-talk… And most of all for listening to you with undivided attention. If in moments of silence (hello, erotic tension), you catch me casually tapping my fingers on something, anything — sure you’ll wonder: What goes on in my head — playing some tunes or playing on / with parts of your body?
Because sometimes… no, often actually, body just knows better. Fingers know better. We’ll explore later. Let’s extend the research? Between the sheets.
With love, Elise
